When you need to refer a patient for outpatient imaging or need the expertise of interpretation by a radiologist, you can rely on our expertise and timely reports.

Outpatient Diagnostic Imaging Services

Outpatient Ultrasound:
You or your clients call to schedule an outpatient ultrasound appointment. Our staff will then call your office to request records. We always ask for the last year's worth of records. We ask that this include all medical notes, physical exams, lab results and any related radiographs. All findings will be reported to you by phone and fax prior to the end of the business day. Fine needle aspirates can be performed on an outpatient basis, if appropriate. All lab results will be faxed directly to you to be relayed to your client. Outpatient CT: 
We require that the referring veterinarian call to discuss and schedule any potential outpatient CT. Our goal is to make this process and easy and seamless for you and for your client. The best way to achieve this is to discuss the case directly with Dr. Heffelman to make sure that it is appropriate for an outpatient CT. Our new 64 slice CT will help make these cases as smooth as possible. 


Radiographic Interpretation

The best diagnostic images can be completely invalid if they are interpreted incorrectly. We encourage you to utilize our board certified radiologist, Dr. Heffelman, to interpret your radiographic studies and help you make the best recommendations for treatment. She personally examines and interprets every image, and sends a detailed report to you within 24 hours. Analog (plain film) radiographs can be mailed in for interpretation; please include the Radiology Services Form and the Credit Card Authorization Form with your radiographs. Digital radiographs are submitted through our teleradiology service (see link below). 

Teleradiology Submissions

 If you are already an established client, just log in below to submit a case for interpretation. 


If you would like to become a new client, please complete the DVMInsight New Client Account Request Form 
and email to support@dvminsight.net or call DVMInsight Support at 866-669-8090 to assist you with teleradiology set-up. Your account should be set up within 24 business hours and you will receive a follow up email to provide you with your new DVMInsight account log in and their server information. You may need to reach out to your imaging vendor for additional assistance with set up. Once your imaging system is configured, you should contact DVMInsight Support either by submitting a ticket or calling 866-669-8090 to send a test case and get training on the platform.
